Day Trip to Antwerpen took place in beautiful weather. This was my first time in Belgium. Travelling from Netherlands to Belgium is like travelling from city to city. No border customs or anything which would have revealed that we arrived in Belgium. Nonresident does not notice differences in the cityscape between these countries.
During the day trip we visited Het Steen – a medieval fortress, Grote Markt Antwerp, Anwerpen Centraal Railway Station, Antwerp Cathedral, and Rubenshuis (The Rubens House) Museum. I might do a small blog post of The Rubens House later. Anyways, it was a pleasant visit on a sunny day. I shall definitely visit Belgium again in the future, even though the country is very similar to the Netherlands. And more importantly, the beer selections were excellent in every single place. This is not always the case in the Netherlands. Oh yeah, the chocolates are also excellent for those who are interested.

“When you walk into a chocolate store, suddenly the most difficult decision you will ever have to make in your life, is which chocolates to pick! It is pure torture! Especially when you are in Belgium surrounded by Belgian chocolates!”
