Scheveningen Beach in The Hague
A day trip to Scheveningen Beach on a sunny Sunday. The most recommenend transportation is bicycle. Walking is a good choice also, since you can travel by tram. Despite your travel method, always remember to watch the weather report in advance. The beach is definitely one of the must-visit locations in The Hague.
The Scheveningen Beach
Scheveningen Beach is a huge, sandy and windy place. The whole beach is covered by a wide pedestrian and cycle route. At February you can take long walks and just sit by the North Sea. There are a lot of tourist attractions, shops and restaurants. The sandy beach is full of kids and dogs playing and running around. Pier Scheveningen, in the northeast corner of the beach, is closed at the moment. It is scheduled to open this year (2015). There is a nudist beach located in the northeast side of the Pier Scheveningen. There are signs that show you the location, but it is between poles 96,5 and 98,0. It is not a very popular area in February, though…
Here is a little teaser from Pier Scheveningen and underneath it are some pictures taken by me:
“Look at that sea, girls–all silver and shadow and vision of things not seen. We couldn’t enjoy its loveliness any more if we had millions of dollars and ropes of diamonds.”
